About
Palmer Goalie Systems understands that each goaltender is different and there is no one-size-fits all approach to teaching this craft - that is why each player is evaluated and taught individually. Our staff uses on ice instruction to demonstrate how to eliminate unnecessary movement and maximize agility. We use a theory we refer to as dynamic balance to maximize the potential of every goalie. Our system focuses on the science of body movement as well as an in-depth understanding of the constantly evolving methods used to stop the puck.
The instructional staff is led by two time gold medalist Joe Palmer. Joe has worked with young goalies of all age groups all across the country. He is currently the head goaltending instructor for the Syracuse Stars Junior B team as well as several other AAA and AA teams with the storied Syracuse Midstate organization.
Joe Palmer earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from The Ohio State University. His success in the classroom earned him the honor of being named to the Big 10 All Academic team three times.
